### POL – Polynomial evaluation

Function Description
The POL block evaluates the polynomial of the form:

$\mathtt{\text{y}}={\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{0}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{1}\mathtt{\text{u}}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{2}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{2}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{3}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{3}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{4}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{4}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{5}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{5}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{6}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{6}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{7}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{7}+{\mathtt{\text{a}}}_{8}{\mathtt{\text{u}}}^{8}.$

The polynomial is internally evaluated by using the Horner scheme to improve the numerical robustness.
