The interface of the Motion Control

Hi

What kind interface could driving motor driver in RexCore ? EtherCat, Canopen,,,, Is there anything else ?

For a typical end user, there are these options:

  • Modbus TCP

  • Modbus RTU over RS485

However, these are not applicable for synchronized motion control.

The other options like Ethernet POWERLINK, EtherCAT and CANopen are much more suitable but these are restricted to internal use (and a few very advanced users). The documentation and configuration of these I/O drivers is still far from production status. The same holds for PROFINET and Sercos, which are available through additional hardware (Hilscher cards).

Do you have some specific motor driver in mind?

Hi

My name is bill lee, I have a software studio for automation section. I am programmer too ! (PC/PLC)
In EtherCat, I always use Yaskawa's Driver. 
In Canopen, I always use delta's Driver(Taiwan maker, http://www.deltaww.com/Products/Categor … 2%20Series )
Our PC Based system is from italy( http://www.bausano.net/en/ )

I had mail with you in last year.  Now, I evaluat a Embedded System(Or IOT). RexCOntrol be my best choice(my new product) and i study it now so i will have a lot guestion to you.

With EtherCAT,Canopen in ALIX Or Linux Based IPC. Do I need plug  any additional hardware  ?

For EtherCAT master, you do not need any additional hardware. For CANopen you do. We use PEAK miniPCI CAN interface cards.
