Master/Slave RPi 3 and RPi Zero

Hi,

I want to make a project with modbus communication in wich a RPi 3 B+ was the master and other RPi Zero as slaves. I want to know if RPi Zero support RexCore and if so what considerations have to be taken.

Thanks in advance.
JL.

Re: Master/Slave RPi 3 and RPi Zero

Hi JL,
this is feasible, RPi Zero can run RexCore just like any other Raspberry Pi model, you just need to add a USB wifi dongle (or use Zero W). USB adapter for wired Ethernet is also an option. I'm supposing you are considering Modbus TCP on a local network. See example 0402-01, which is included in REXYGEN Studio.

Please let me know if the master station will run RexCore as well. If so, there are other possibilities to exchange data, e.g. REST API. See example 0302-01 for this approach.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Kind regards,
Jaroslav
