Connection problems on VPN

Hi,
i have problems to connect from RexDraw to a Raspberry via VPN connected by 2 FritzBoxes (Socket Error). I have access with SSH, RexCore and RexWSTcp are running and a Webserver (lighttpd) is reachable.
Is there any special Port which I had to open in the FritzBoxes for Rex?

Greetings P. Neumann

Re: Connection problems on VPN

Both RexDraw and RexView use TCP port 43981 (0xABCD). Hope this helps.

Re: Connection problems on VPN

Hi,

I have set up port forwarding on my router; I am currently on a remote pc and I am trying to access my Webbudi HMI project; I have not looked at the index page (html) yet; do I need to change the REX.WebBuDi.setWsIP; also do I need to add the port number? I not familiar with port forwarding.

Thanks,
Regards,

Re: Connection problems on VPN

There is no need to change anything in the index.html file. You just set your router to forward e.g. TCP port 8080 to TCP port 80 of your Raspberry Pi (e.g. 192.168.1.100). To access your HMI from remote PC, you will use the address 1.2.3.4:8080 (enter your PUBLIC IP address).
