I have been running RexDraw under Wine in both a Linux and Mac OS environment. I developed a new project there that includes modbus. The project opens and runs just fine. But I get an error when I try to copy the project folder to a new Windows 7 environment and open it there.
The error I get from RexDraw is code: 166. Then RexDraw quits unexpectedly.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
To try and re-do the project from scratch would be a big inconvenience.

Please, can you upload your project folder here? We will try to inspect the source files and make it work on Win 7.
We are sorry for any inconvenience.

OK, thanks for the reply. I will upload the zipped folder here. I think I uploaded it but there is no confirmation.
I checked my forum profile and the file is listed there under my uploads.

I'm not able to see your upload before you post the link. You can do that by editing your post (or making a new one) and in "Uploads" window there is an icon in lower right corner "Insert" which will insert the link of chosen file to your post.

OK, trying to add the link
American_Traffic_light_GPIO_Modbus.zip

Try this project:
American_Traffic_light_GPIO_Modbus_modified.zip
I just replaced "." with "_" from the names of the .mdl files and it worked. Try to avoid dots in the filenames.
Hope it solved your issue. Let us know.
