Wouldn't this result in a big amount of write/read cycles on my SD card?

Maybe I can constantly update a record on my MySQL dB (on external server) and during a restart of the RasPi the latest record will be read during start-up to give the block(integrator) an initial starting value......just a thought...

(but a possibility to keep values and parameters stored in a non-volatile memory I would like to put on the wishlist )

You can try to use FB called SGSLP (Set, Get, Save and Load Parameters). For more details see documentation.

In my project I have some integrators running to totalize the kilowatts measured by means of a current trafo + voltage measurement.

All this is working fine but every time I download a change to my project I loose all the total values and after restart they start at zero again.

What would be the easiest/best way to store these values?
