thanks for reporting this problem. Can you please specify which version of REX you are using?

I believe this problem was reported in version 2.50.1 and it has been already fixed. In version 2.50.2, to be exact, see the release notes.

If you are not using the most up-to-date version 2.50.4, please upgrade to version 2.50.4 and check if the problem persists.

If you are already at 2.50.4 and you are observing this behavior then please upload the project files (*.mdl and *.rio) here or send them to support@rexcontrols.com so our developers can have a look at it.

I just noticed, that when using OwsDrv in my project without any input/output configured (OwsDrv configuration window empty) Rexcore service is stopping after configuration download attempt.
There is no sign in logs at all.

Solution is to delete /rex/rexcore/exec.rex manually and start rexcore service.

Maybe this info will help someone.
