i purchased the EMO-R8 expansion board and there was a cable whit it, it is about 10 centimeter lang

Hi Martijn,
if you can't detect the board with i2cdetect, there is no way REX could control it.

Did you check this post at UniPi forum: http://unipi.technology/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=246

How long is your cable between the UniPi and the EMO-R8 expansion board? Did you make the cable yourself or did you buy it? Double check the cable, make sure that pin1 of the RJ12 connector goes to pin1 on the other end. Some cables are wired so that pin1 goes to pin4 and these will not work with UniPi and its extension modules.

i connected 2 times a 8-Relay Addon EMO-R8 board to my unipi but i can't find/controll them when i use the comand (sudo i2cdetect -y 1)
i don't see them and the data led on de 8-Relay Addon EMO-R8 board is red can anyone help me ?
