Previous version of RexDraw not show values on From and Goto block in online mode, so without any block connected to MTS__xxx blocks you are not able see the value. This is (in my opinion) main reason for using the GAIN blocks in the example, but you can use almost any block for this purpose.

It has a 32 bit input and parameter "shift" so you can choose the 16 bits you want to demultiplex from 32 bit input.

Hello Hubert,

thank you for sharing your findings. It is a bug. However I tested it also in our Beta version and it works well, it has already been fixed.

Unique item ID should be in the range from 1 to 65535. Please, note that this number should be unique among all archiving blocks.

If you will face some more difficulties with ALNI block you can use ALN instead. The only difference is that ALN has no external inputs. As a workaround you can use SETPR/SETPI blocks to change the inner parameters of ALN block, which is in fact the same as using the external inputs.

please, what example exactly do you use? Can you upload all your project files so I can have a look at it?
From the log file you posted I can see that you are using Rex version 2.10.7 however it seems that you added some functionality from newer BETA version (e.g. Display block).

The picture you uploaded should be visible in your "Uploads" - there is a link just below the reply window. It opens separate window.

You are right, Brian. In the current version there is no way ho to copy / paste text from the compile log file. However I can assure you that this feature is already implemented and will be released soon with the new REX version.

EPC block - Tkinter

I have set cmd to

su pi -c "export DISPLAY=:0.0 && python /rex/rexcore/alert_Tkinter.py"

and it works for me, the window appears on the HDMI screen. However, the RESET input of EPC does not work in this case.

Hope it helps somehow...

please start a new topic and describe your current problem. Unless you provide sufficient information, it's hard to help. What Tkinter scripts are you trying to call, what is the purpose and what is the output of the script(s)? How do you call the script from command line? Are there any parameters? If possible, upload the scripts and REX source files...

no need to include Modbus driver in your case. You will implement your own inside the REXLANG block.
