Exporting HMI in Inkscape results in fault message

Hello scoobsalamander,
I assume that you are using Export HMI (CTRL+H) extension. Or are you building your HMI using REXYGEN Studio with HMI block?

The error shows that you want to export the HMI files to the hmisrc directory. Can you tell me what is the content of the Output filename parameter in the REXYGEN HMI Configuration, tab HTML Export -> Expert mode? I assume this points to the location with no write permissions.

To clarify this matter:
When you are building your HMI inside the HMI Designer with using Export HMI (CTRL+H) extension, the Output filename parameter is used as the target path for both the HTML file and its resources.

When you are building the HMI using REXYGEN Studio with HMI block all the source files with suffix (*.hmi.svg) are built to the hmi directory using the same name as is the source filename.
E.g. file hmisrc/hmi-screen.hmi.svg is compiled to the hmi/hmi-screen.html file in the hmi directory.

Hi Chand,
I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with the HMI. You have been probably following an outdated tutorial. Since version 2.50.1 the HMI is included using the HMI block in project main file. It is natively included in the project and it is transferred to the target device along with your algorithm. This example project includes HMI so you can use it as a starting point.

And yes, the target_url should include port number of the internal webserver of RexCore, which is 8008 by default.

Changing font of display in HMI

Hi Scoobsalamander,

please, follow this tutorial in order to change the display font settings in RexHMI designer:

Open .svg file with the display you want to change the font at.
Select the diplay and press CTRL + SHIFT + X (Editor XML). You should see something like this:
Under Display group select "
Change the font.

Note: Please, remember that the chosen font must be installed on the computer where you would like to see the visualisation (typically your host computer).

Inkscape - Custom HTML element

Hi Hendrik,
thanks for your question. This happens when you apply the group animation directly on the Custom HTML element.

Please delete the element and insert a new one. Edit it to set your HTML code. After editing, select the element and turn it into a group (Ctrl+G). Afterwards apply the Group animation. Setup the opacity animation and export. Hopefully it will work.
